Job summary

Plateco Inc - Master in Wisconsin is seeking a Plating Process Attendant to perform laboratory procedures of a technical nature. You will handle sensitive equipment to analyze samples from chemical tanks and report findings to a laboratory manager.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to bend, stand, lift about 50 pounds, and work overtime, including Saturdays when needed. You will maintain safety guidelines and organize chemicals to support plating operations.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, label and analyze samples from chemical tanks used in plating.
  • Manually add chemicals to the plating process; ensure safe handling.
  • Identify needed buckets and contents; fill as required.
  • Make up muriatic/tin and refill tanks; maintain lines and baths.
  • Record data and results; organize chemicals and storage safely.
  • Maintain equipment and assist in ordering lab supplies.
  • Uphold strict safety guidelines and keep a clean work area.

Pay: $22.38 - $25.15 per hourJob description:We are looking for a qualified Plating Process Attendant to undertake a variety of laboratory procedures of technical nature. You will be handling sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conduct tests reporting findings to a laboratory manager. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work under and handle possible hazardous conditions (chemicals). The candidate will be well-trained to maintain safety conditions and procedures.****This position is a extremely labor intensive, physically demanding, and may frequently encounter a soiled environment . You will be required to manually break down, clean and restart processes, as well as, replace old drums on the floor before they are empty. Dumping and cleaning tanks will be necessary to maintain.The required candidate will be able to work necessary overtime when needed. Overtime could be at the end of the work shift or some project may be conducted on Saturdays a couple times a month.Also, the ideal candidate will be able bend, stand, twist, lift (50# or so) on a daily basis.ResponsibilitiesReceive, label and analyze samples from chemical tanks used in the plating process.Manually add chemicals of many forms to the plating process safely.Identify all buckets that need filled each day and what goes in them (Nitric, Muriatic, Brightener, Starter, etc.)Make up Muriatic/Tin and refill tank when needed.Fill Zinc Balls at lines that are in needMag out lines in line plating bathsConduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methodsOrganize, clean and store all chemicals substances, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructionsRecord all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibilityMaintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory suppliesEnsure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environmentJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance
