Position Summary

The Lab Support Technician II will perform clerical duties including triaging phone calls and specimens, assigning identification numbers, reviewing and logging consultation cases, verifying patient information, and supporting staff as needed.

Qualifications
  • Minimum: High School diploma/GED plus two years of laboratory or clinical assistant experience, or 60 hours of higher education in health sciences.
  • Preferred: Experience in anatomic pathology, gross room, or morgue.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain and check laboratory analyzers and equipment.
  • Provide technical information to healthcare professionals.
  • Handle patient samples, perform analyses, and use laboratory computer systems.
  • Conduct quality control, calibrations, and troubleshooting.
