Mercy is seeking a Lab Support Technician (LST I) to support reports, data and scheduling in the laboratory. You will deliver accurate, timely laboratory support and exemplary customer service in line with Mercy Signature Service.

The role includes specimen collection, processing, transport and referral of specimens while ensuring HIPAA compliance and lab policies. You will be observed by management to ensure competencies and complete departmental checklists for the LST I position, contributing

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or enrolled in a healthcare career program.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to observe HIPAA confidentiality and lab policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely laboratory support including reports, data and scheduling.
• Acquire laboratory specimens using safe, accurate methods.
• Process, transport, and refer specimens and reports.
• Maintain patient privacy and Mercy Service Standards.
