A leading healthcare facility is seeking a Phlebotomy Coordinator to manage daily operations at their Cancer Center. The role involves overseeing phlebotomy procedures, ensuring optimal staffing, and acting as a liaison for communications. Candidates should have a high school diploma, phlebotomy training, and strong communication skills.
Statement of Purpose:
Cordially greets and receives patients, ascertains their needs, and appropriately directs patients. Has command of computer skills, uses the telephone courteously, and performs clerical duties. Performs phlebotomy procedures, including bleeding, blood cultures, and EKG procedures. Manages the location by ensuring supplies are ordered, staffing is optimal, and issues are addressed. Ensures that managers and supervisors are aware of issues or concerns about the site. Works closely with the manager/supervisor to ensure the site runs efficiently.
Qualifications:
1. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Phlebotomy training required. 1 year of phlebotomy or management experience preferred.
2. Certification / License: Valid Driver's license. ASCP certification or eligibility.
3. Experience: Computer/Keyboard experience helpful. Phlebotomy experience required. Ability to communicate fluently in English.
MRMC Differentials:
Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $5.00 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid according to hospital policy.
