Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Shelton, CT is seeking a Lab Associate I to support laboratory operations from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This non-licensed role assists with general lab support under policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of operating non-complex equipment.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel and email communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes samples for testing, including racking, aliquoting and tube prep.
• Labels, handles, processes or prepares specimens and ensures proper storage.
• Identifies sample problems and assists in resolution.
• Prepares testing equipment and assists with preventive maintenance.
• Performs data entry and prepares reports for licensed personnel's review.
• Maintains inventory of reagents and supplies and rotates stock as needed.
• Ensures laboratory areas are neat, clean, and organized.
