Lab Supervisor (Lab Technician 4) - 2nd shift

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Supervisor (Lab Technician 4) to oversee our laboratory operations and ensure all testing procedures are carried out efficiently and accurately. The Lab Supervisor will manage a team of lab technicians, conduct quality control checks, maintain laboratory equipment, and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with laboratory testing of construction materials.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience (preferred).
• Ability to pass drug and MVR screening.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree or higher in Construction Technology, Construction Management, or related engineering field (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining composure and working effectively under pressure with changing priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with using a company laptop or tablet.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Good work ethic, diligence, and high personal integrity.
• 2nd shift hours from 3pm to 11pm.
• ACI Strength Testing Technician certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Technical Requirements

• ACI Certifications:
• Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Level 1 or Concrete Strength Testing Technician (Required)
• Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Level 2
• Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 1 or 2
• Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate laboratory staff.
• Oversee testing procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform quality control on testing processes and results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
• Train new technicians on procedures and protocols.

• Communicate testing results and procedures with other departments.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory operations.

Additional Information

Position is for 2nd shift, hours from 3pm to 11pm.
