Rang Technologies Inc. is seeking a Lab Supervisor - Microbiology to oversee daily micro biology laboratory operations, guide staff, ensure quality assurance, and maintain regulatory compliance in a fast-paced lab environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical proficiency, and strong collaboration with laboratory leaders to deliver high-quality results with continuous staff development and process improvement.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological or related laboratory science.
• MLS (Medical Laboratory Scientist) certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Minimum 2 years of professional microbiology laboratory experience.
• Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory operations.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor daily workflow and laboratory operations.
• Supervise Microbiology Laboratory staff and activities.
• Maintain competency across all supervised laboratory functions.
• Manage staff scheduling and timekeeping.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding and training.
• Oversee competency assessments and evaluations.
• Support staff development and continuing education initiatives.
• Manage corrective actions and employee relations matters.
• Maintain compliance with laboratory policies and regulatory standards.
• Assist with resolving operational and system-related issues.
• Ensure quality control and quality assurance requirements are met.
• Collaborate with Laboratory Leadership on departmental initiatives.

Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Schedule:

• Four 10-Hour Shifts (Monday-Friday)
• May transition to Five 8-Hour Shifts as needed

On-Call Requirement: As Needed

Holiday Requirement: As Needed

Floating Requirement: May Float Within Laboratory

Job Summary

The Lab Supervisor - Microbiology is responsible for overseeing daily laboratory operations, workflow management, staff supervision, quality assurance, and departmental performance within the Microbiology Laboratory.

This position works closely with laboratory leadership to ensure efficient operations, regulatory compliance, staff development, and delivery of high-quality laboratory services while maintaining technical competency in all supervised areas.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in:

• Chemical Science
• Physical Science
• Biological Science
• Related Laboratory Science Discipline

MLS (Medical Laboratory Scientist) Certification Required

Minimum 2 Years of Supervisory or Leadership Experience

Minimum 2 Years of Professional Microbiology Laboratory Experience

Strong Knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Operations
