Job summary

Millennium Health LLC in Rancho Bernardo, CA is seeking an entry-level Lab Specimen Processor to prepare urine and oral fluid specimens for analysis. You will handle receiving, sorting, aliquoting, centrifugation, and racking in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities include data entry of testing and patient information, labeling specimens, maintaining safety and HIPAA compliance, and helping keep the lab clean and organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with data entry in a laboratory or healthcare setting preferred.

LAB SPECIMEN PROCESSOR – Entry Level Role

Millennium Health LLC is an accredited specialty laboratory with more than a decade of experience in medication monitoring and drug testing services, helping clinicians monitor use of prescription medications and illicit drugs supporting improved clinical decision-making as part of treatment for millions of Americans with chronic pain, mental illness, and substance use disorders.?

The Lab Specimen Processor is responsible for preparing urine and oral fluid specimens for analysis in our drug testing laboratory. This includes specimen receiving and sorting, aliquoting, centrifugation, and racking. This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted position that requires great flexibility, attention to detail and accuracy.

Location: Rancho Bernardo, CA

Schedule:

Full-time | Tuesday - Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm, Saturday 8:00am to 4:30pm. Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed.

Salary:

$18.25 per hour.

As a Laboratory Specimen Processor:

• Specimen receiving, sorting and bag opening.
• Data entry of required testing, patient information, medical insurance requirements.
• Identify, label, and document urine and oral fluid specimens.
• Prepare urine and oral fluid specimens for analysis: Aliquot, centrifuge, batching and racking.
• Responsible for accurately distinguishing colors and smells in urine specimens.
• Stock, clean and maintain the laboratory and all equipment.
• Identify and document specimen discrepancies.
• Display strong work ethic and enjoy working in a team environment.
• Demonstrate understanding of HIPAA laws and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Follow company safety practices.

POTENTIAL HIRING RANGE:

• $37,960.00

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise level.
