Lab Section / Hematology Dept. Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all work and tests performed in designated lab departments, including Microbiology, Serology and Urinalysis, Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, and Point of Care.
• Maintain instruments, perform daily maintenance, and review all test procedures for updates in procedure manuals.
• Oversee all quality control and quality improvement activities for the section.
• Train personnel in all techniques and general workflow of the department.
• Communicate administrative technical procedures and policies to team members.
• May collect specimens from patients of all ages, from neonates to the elderly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (or equivalent certification).
• Three years of clinical experience, preferably in an acute care hospital setting.
• Preference for more than three years in an acute care hospital setting.
