We are seeking a Laboratory Manager with supervisory lab experience in a hospital setting. Requirements include a BS degree, MT(ASCP) certification, and at least 4 years of supervisory experience in Lab Services.
The Lab Manager reports to the Director of Lab Services and plays a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, organizational structure, personnel planning, equipment development, service standards, and departmental budgeting.
Candidates certified by ASCP beginning January 1, 2004, must participate in and maintain ASCP BOC through the CMP. Those certified by AMT from January 1, 2006, must participate in and maintain the CCP. The role qualifies as a General Supervisor under CLIA 88 guidelines.
Required skills include knowledge of current trends, regulations, policies, information systems, safety, infection control, staffing, budgeting, and competency implementation.
Must have 8+ years in a strong clinical lab role with supervisory experience.
