Job summary

QPS Holdings, LLC seeks a Sample Specialist in Springfield, MO, to perform a range of office, laboratory, and clinical duties across multiple departments. The role involves processing study samples, assisting in the PBMC laboratory, and supporting sample shipments and kit production in the Logistics department.

The position is PRN and requires careful adherence to study protocols, lab manuals, and SOPs, with teamwork and accurate documentation as key components.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated industry laboratory preferred.
• Proficiency in handling clinical study samples and basic laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand study protocols and laboratory manuals.
• Process study samples and perform clinical/laboratory tests (urine pregnancy, urine drug, cotinine, etc.).
• Assist in QPS Logistics: IATA certification, sample shipments, kit production and labeling.
• Label and QC specimen containers per protocol specifications and SOPs.
• Collaborate effectively with participants and team members.
• Record specimen collection/processing accurately.
• Process samples according to protocol and lab specifications.
• Prepare biohazard material for disposal.
• Collect specimens from study subjects on a timed schedule.
• Prepare and label study sample tubes.
• Ensure procedures follow SOPs and study protocols.
