Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six years of relevant experience.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and meet Baylor College of Medicine driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure EH&S compliance in BCM research and teaching labs through inspections, chemical inventories, maintaining emergency info, and communicating findings to faculty, staff, and students.
• Provide guidelines and best practices for lab safety and procedures.
• Assist with cleaning and removal of hazardous substances from equipment before relocation, repair, or disposal.
• Manage hazardous waste classification, packaging, and shipments with vendors.
• Respond to laboratory incidents by mitigating hazards, documenting the incident, and following safety protocols.
