Job summary

UTMB Health in Galveston, TX seeks a Research Academic & Clinical Regular to perform standardized laboratory tasks under the PI's guidance. The role includes maintaining inventory, documenting data, and assisting with project-related activities in a fast-paced lab.

The candidate will conduct a range of biological assays (imaging, IHC, histology, RT-qPCR, Western blot, cell culture) and contribute to data management and project progress in a day-shift setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in basic science or equivalent; no experience required.
• Ability to perform routine and non-routine research assignments as designed by the PI.
• Maintain inventory and documentation of research data; update chemical and lab inventory.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine research assignments as designed by the PI of the laboratory.
• Maintains inventory of all laboratory supplies related to research, documentation of research data, update chemical and lab inventory.
• Lab ordering related to ongoing projects, annual inspection.
• Perform biological assays and conduct quantitative and qualitative assays (examples: Imaging, immunohistochemistry, histology, RT-qPCR, Western blotting, cell culture, animal studies, statistical analysis, data management etc.).
