Job summary

Walker Lovell Ltd in Missouri is seeking a hands-on quality leadership professional to guide the laboratory team and contribute to a path toward Quality Management or Process Engineering.

You will lead up to four QC technicians, oversee testing and quality control across materials, and maintain ISO 9001 processes, while partnering with production, mining, sales and customers to ensure reliable product performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, associate degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Supervisory/leadership experience in lab/quality within manufacturing/mining/mineral processing is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of quality systems and ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Lead up to four QC technicians, developing capability while directing laboratory priorities and quality activities.
• Oversee testing and quality control across raw materials, in-process materials and finished products, taking action when results fall outside specification.
• Maintain the site's ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including internal audits, management reviews and document control.
• Partner with production, mining, sales and customers to resolve quality issues and support reliable product performance.

Travel: Approximately 10% - customer sites, other plants and supervisor training

What You’ll Bring

• Engineering, chemistry, physical sciences or another relevant technical background - bachelor’s, associate degree or equivalent relevant experience considered.
• Supervisory, team leadership, laboratory or quality experience within manufacturing, construction, mining, mineral processing or a related process industry is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of quality systems and ISO 9001 is valuable, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Early-career engineers and technically strong recent graduates with the potential to develop into leadership are also encouraged to apply.
