Job summary

Englewood Health, located in Englewood, NJ, is seeking a Laboratory Central Processing professional to process orders and specimens, register patients, and manage reference lab testing. This role supports the Laboratory Mission by delivering excellent customer service to all clients of the laboratory.

Responsibilities include entering data in the hospital system, coordinating with courier staff for specimen pickups, printing reports, and notifying physicians of results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent communication and public relation skills.
• Familiarity with computer terminals, keyboards, printers, and PCs is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and processes orders and specimens.
• Responds to outside clients with information and supplies; coordinates specimen pickup with couriers.
• Prints patient reports and references; enters results into the Laboratory Computer and communicates with physicians.
• Answers calls promptly and provides courteous information to Medical Staff and clients.
• Performs other duties as requested.
