Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Progressive laboratory experience in phlebotomy, registration, and specimen processing.
  • At least 5 years as a phlebotomist and 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • National certification preferred.
  • Experience with Mobilab and MEDITECH.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with the laboratory manager and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with NYSDOH and The Joint Commission requirements.
  • Oversee ongoing quality management and regulatory monitoring.
  • Coordinate phlebotomy workflow and staff supervision.

Qualifications & Responsibilities
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with laboratory manager and other laboratory personnel.
  • Electronic communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Effective organizational and managerial skills.
  • Knowledge of current regulatory requirements for NYSDOH and The Joint Commission.
  • Assess ongoing compliance monitoring within the requirements of the laboratory’s quality management system.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Progressive laboratory experience: phlebotomy, registration & specimen processing experience required.
  • Experience with Mobilab & MEDITECH required.
  • At least 5 years as a phlebotomist and 5 years of experience as a phlebotomy supervisor or supervisory role required.
  • National certification preferred.
