Qualifications

• Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant with 2 years of clinical lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clean venipunctures.
• Perform capillary collections.
• Follow guidelines for safe handling of blood, body fluids and hazardous chemicals.
• Demonstrate knowledge of lab procedures and quality assurance activities.
• Maintain inventory levels of reagents and supplies.
• Document corrective actions when test systems deviate from specifications.
• Document lab results in charts for lab visits.
• Operate and understand LIS functions: ordering tests, rejecting tests, locating and printing results.
