Job summary

Ideal candidates possess a BS/BA in a science field and lab pack experience. This role includes various responsibilities, such as mentoring new employees and preparing shipments of waste materials while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Associate College degree in General Science or equivalent experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Occasional travel required.
• Minimum one (1) year lab pack experience.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• PPE training which includes respirators.

Responsibilities

• Handles hazardous materials including inventorying and packaging waste materials.
• Performs onsite services including waste collection and safety inspections.
• Assists other business groups as needed.
• Prepares shipment of packaged waste and completes necessary documentation.
• Mentors and assists new employees in lab pack work duties.

Skills

Understanding of chemistry

Knowledge of EPA and DOT regulations

Physical ability to lift and move materials

Education

BS/BA in a science-related field
