Job summary

Cytiva is seeking an experienced Operations professional to manage inventory, procurement, and asset management for laboratory and manufacturing support within biotech environments.

You will collaborate with facilities, engineering, and maintenance teams to optimize logistics, implement lean initiatives, and support cross-functional projects while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field.
• Experience in laboratory operations, manufacturing support, logistics, or related roles within biotech/pharma.
• Ability to manage procurement, inventory control, logistics and equipment maintenance.
• Strong organization skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 5%).

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory systems for tracking levels and asset inventories; coordinate CAPEX procurement and equipment databases.
• Support domestic and international shipping, partner with vendors and internal teams on logistics workflows.
• Develop lean metrics, 5S/6S, and visual management to sustain operational excellence.
• Provide project coordination support, track milestones, risks, and reporting of performance and deliverables.
• Collaborate with facility, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure laboratory infrastructure is fully operational.

What you'll do:

Operations and Business Responsibilities Inventory, procurement, and asset management: Manage inventory systems for tracking inventory levels, coordinate procurement activities for capital equipment (CAPEX), support project-specific inventory planning, manage laboratory asset inventories and equipment databases, and partner with facility, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure fully operational laboratory infrastructure.

Logistics, shipping operations, and external partner collaboration: Collaborate with internal logistics, supply chain, external transportation providers, and laboratory vendors to develop and improve logistics workflows, coordinate domestic and international shipping activities, support chain-of custody and material tracking process, and coordinate contractor activities.

Continuous improvement and operational excellence: Develop metrics and dashboards to lead and sustain operational excellence initiatives utilizing lean principles, 5S/6S methodologies, visual project management, issue tracking/management, and standard work practices.

Project management and business support: Support cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of operational improvement projects by providing project coordination support, tracking project milestones, risks, and reporting operational performance and deliverables.

Who you are:

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related discipline with minimum 10 years of experience in laboratory operations, laboratory coordination, manufacturing support, logistics, or a related operational role within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or related industries.

Experience managing procurement, inventory control, logistics, and laboratory operational processes, coordinating equipment maintenance, service providers, and facility-related activities.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, inventory, procurement, or asset management systems.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Travel and Work Environment Ability and willingness to work in laboratory and pilot-scale environments, including BSL-2 laboratories when required.

Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support up to 5% of the time.

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000.

This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
