Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking an experienced Laboratory Coordinator to oversee lab management, mentor personnel, and drive high-level research projects in a leading cancer research environment.

You will supervise a diverse team, coordinate resources, ensure SOP compliance, and support advanced sequencing and molecular biology workflows while contributing to groundbreaking studies impacting patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline with 5 years of biological research experience.
• Experience coordinating laboratory operations and directing work assignments across multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong organizational, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily laboratory operations and oversee molecular biology and cell culture environments.
• Supervise staff, technicians, students, postdocs, and researchers.
• Coordinate resources, maintenance, inventory, and procurement of equipment.
• Train personnel on SOPs, methodologies, and high-tech equipment.
• Support collaborations, mentor personnel, and supervise experimental design and data interpretation.
