Job summary

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business's Roman Family Center for Decision Research (RFCDR) seeks a Lab Manager to provide managerial and administrative support across RFCDR labs. The role involves coordinating recruitment, supporting research operations, and ensuring ethical training and compliance.

The position requires strong MS Office proficiency, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic research

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, organizational behavior, marketing, or behavioral science.
  • Experience managing research assistants and operations within behavioral labs.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Manages recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, approving hours, and overseeing RF-CDR Labs research assistants and supporting student staff.
  • Oversees recruitment for Campus, Virtual and Pop-Up Labs and develops recruitment content with RF-CDR Communications.
  • Provides oversight and project management for research across RFCDR Lab sites from request to data delivery.
  • Maintains training in research ethics and manages IRB protocol records and ethics training documentation.
  • Manages and analyzes operational datasets and budgets, and assists with study-related procurement and expenses.
