Qualifications

• MLT/MT/MLS certification from an accredited organization required or preferred per local lab requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field preferred.
• Experience supervising or managing a laboratory strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily laboratory operations, staffing, scheduling, and workflow.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate laboratory personnel.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality laboratory testing.
• Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain laboratory policies, procedures, and quality-control programs.
• Monitor quality assurance and proficiency-testing activities.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Investigate and resolve quality, safety, and operational issues.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, administration, and other departments.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and records for inspections and audits.
• Promote patient safety, infection control, and laboratory best practices.
