Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation's Applied Chiller Lab is seeking a Summer Intern to support laboratory testing, engineering activities, and process improvements. You will work with technicians, test engineers, and operations leaders on witness tests, qualification testing, and data collection.

The role provides hands-on exposure to large commercial chillers, HVAC systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems, emphasizing safety, quality, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering and qualification testing for water-cooled and air-cooled chiller products.
• Assist lab personnel with test setup, instrumentation installation, and data collection.
• Monitor test progress, document results, and validate data for accuracy.
• Support development and maintenance of laboratory standard work, operating procedures, and testing documentation.
• Coordinate with Product Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Laboratory teams to support testing priorities.
• Assist with root cause investigations related to test anomalies and equipment issues.
• Document lessons learned and best practices from testing activities.
