Job summary

SCC Soft Computer is seeking a Lab/Microbiology Associate Technical Support Specialist to join our Technical Support Center in Clearwater, FL. This role provides initial support for LIS solutions like SoftLab, SoftMic, SoftTQC, and SoftWeb.

The ideal candidate has a laboratory or healthcare IT background, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a passion for helping clinical laboratories run smoothly. This is a full-time, on-site position with a focus on timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences, Information Technology, or related field.
• Two years of clinical laboratory, specimen processing, lab assistant, healthcare IT, or technical support experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Chemistry, Hematology, and/or Microbiology laboratory workflows preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial contact for Lab and Microbiology client support issues.
• Document and manage tasks in the Case Management System.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of application, system, and hardware issues.
• Identify and upscale system-critical or complex issues.
• Gather diagnostic information and route tasks to the appropriate technical teams.
• Proactively communicate with clients regarding support needs.
• Maintain compliance with FDA, HIPAA, and departmental requirements.
