Millennium Physician Group is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform diagnostic testing across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and related areas. The role involves ensuring specimen quality, quality control, and timely clinical results in a busy lab setting.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, biological science, or related field required.
• 4-6 years of clinical laboratory testing experience preferred.
• MT (ASCP) or MLS (ASCP) certification required, or equivalent board certification through AMT or NCA.
• 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience in a CLIA-regulated setting with proficiency across multiple testing disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing across assigned laboratory areas in accordance with approved procedures and quality standards.
• Review specimen acceptability, test orders, quality control results, and instrument outputs before releasing or escalating results.
• Troubleshoot moderately complex testing, specimen, or equipment issues within established laboratory protocols.
• Maintain laboratory instruments, reagents, supplies, and documentation to support reliable testing operations.
• Support proficiency testing, quality control monitoring, and corrective action documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to laboratory staff on specimen handling, testing procedures, and workflow practices.
• Communicate abnormal workflow conditions, testing delays, or result concerns to appropriate laboratory and clinical partners.
