Job summary

Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore is seeking a temporary Lab Manager for the Forensic Science program (JMT). The role focuses on preparing and maintaining lab materials, coordinating with faculty, and ensuring clean, safe instructional spaces in prep labs and storage areas.

You will supervise work-study students, manage chemical inventories, and coordinate waste disposal with Environmental Health and Safety.

Qualifications

• BS in Forensic Science, Biology, Chemistry or related discipline.
• Experience preparing solutions and handling lab equipment.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Procurement, preparation and maintenance of materials and equipment to support laboratory instruction.
• Work with faculty to arrange for preparation of reagents and gathering and arranging of equipment for all lab courses.
• Maintain the cleanliness of prep-lab, instructional labs, and storage areas in collaboration with faculty members and work-study students.
• Coordinate efforts of work-study students to assist with preparation of labs and clean-up of teaching and preparatory lab spaces.
• Develop and maintain a chemical inventory.
• Coordinate the storage and disposal of biological and chemical waste with EHS.
• Duties vary throughout these roles.
