Job summary

Mars Incorporated is seeking a lab supervisor to oversee and perform routine laboratory analysis of ingredients, ensuring tests are conducted under Good Laboratory Practices and safety procedures. You will supervise technicians, interpret procedures, and maintain accurate records for compliance and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong attention to safety, quality systems, and the ability to communicate critical information to management and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• Working knowledge of Safety, Quality, and Material Management Systems.
• Ability to read and understand the daily production run schedule.
• Effective communication with managers and team members about critical information.

Responsibilities

• Lead site lab technicians in physical and chemical tests using meters and ELISA.
• Interpret analytical method procedures and safety instructions.
• Maintain lab records, perform trend analysis and quality control tasks.
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment; perform basic troubleshooting.
• Train lab technicians and coordinate sampling from materials.
