Job summary

ARUP Laboratories in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Material Distribution Technician I to learn ARUP processes for accurate storing, shipping, and receiving of products, ensuring timely and quality receipt and distribution of inventory. This on-site role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1 year of inventory/warehouse experience, and the ability to operate a forklift.

The position is 40 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year inventory, shipping and receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.
• 1 year clinical laboratory inventory or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklift.

Responsibilities

• Use company vehicles on company business.
• Quality checks inbound shipments to ensure accuracy of labeling and stocking procedures.
• Perform receiving functions, labeling reagents and kits with lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Maintain quarantine areas to keep validated reagents isolated and stable.
• Quality checks outbound orders for accuracy.
• Process packages for shipping and returns.
• Conduct cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Mentor junior staff on procedures.
