Antech Diagnostics in Dallas, TX seeks a Laboratory Generalist to receive and prepare samples, operate instruments, and report results. The role emphasizes QA, training, and process improvement in a fast-paced lab environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (science-focused degree preferred) and prior lab experience, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Competenze

Strong laboratory skills and basic science background.

Performs startup and maintenance on analyzers.
Perform all required quality control per QA guidelines.
Train in all areas according to SOPs.
Enter and release results.

Work Shift: Monday–Saturday, five days per week, with two scheduled days off each week. Weekend coverage Is required. The specific days worked may vary based on business needs.

11pm-1am start time - 8 hour shift

The Target Pay for this position is $21.00an hour. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Laboratory Generalist 1 receives and prepares samples for laboratory analysis and tests, sets up instruments, runs tests and reads,interprets,and releases results.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Stationary Position- must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 2 hours.
Constantlyoperatesa computerand other lab equipment accurately and efficiently.
Occasionally required to bend, kneel, stoop, or crouch
May berequiredto lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs.
Heavy microscopic work
The ability toobservedetails at closerange
Proficiencyin the English language which allows for participation in team meetings,accurateentry of data into company systems and understanding of written directions.
Extended hours may beneeded
Laboratoryenvironmentswith potential biohazards present that are mitigated by the mandatory use of PPE.
Work under close to moderate supervision
Potential for exposure to agents known to cause zoonotic disease in humans and use of potentially hazardous chemicals as defined by the National Hazard Communication Standards. A complete list of such chemicals is available from department supervision.
