Job summary

Pace Analytical is seeking a Senior Lab Operations Manager to lead and coordinate lab, services and field programs. You will validate results, schedule services, and resolve complex customer issues while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective budgeting.

Responsibilities include hiring and developing staff, aligning resources, and driving performance metrics across multiple areas such as chemistry, biology and field operations. Strong communication and strategic planning are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, environmental science, or a closely related field.
• Five (5) years of experience, typically with lead or supervisor responsibilities.
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages staff including hiring, training and performance management.
• Oversees schedules, services, results and related programs to achieve operations goals.
• Advises on developing strategies and programs for lab, services or field areas.
• Reviews instrumentation and equipment and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Provides leadership observations and recommendations for policy improvements.
• Manages budgets and allocates resources within control limits.
• Resolves escalated customer and operational issues with internal or external teams.
