Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Laboratory Equipment Engineer in Redmond, WA to support design, maintenance definition, procurement of equipment, and overall lab support at the Redmond test facility.

The role involves coordinating with internal teams and contractors, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, and managing procurement for lab equipment and components to enable rocket engine testing and related activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field; 2+ years related experience preferred.
• Graduate degree or equivalent with 0–2 years experience; or 6+ years experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with vacuum systems and lab facilities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions to support vacuum systems used in hot fire testing of rocket engines.
• Coordinate purchase of equipment, components, and materials for facility equipment.
• Work with EHS to ensure safety protocols and environmental requirements are met.
• Coordinate activities with internal personnel and outside contractors to complete facility projects.
• Use computer systems to procure facility equipment.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within the team.
