Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a dedicated Lab Courier to assist in transporting clinical and anatomical specimens and related supplies. The role requires safe driving, adherence to routes and lab protocols, and timely delivery across facilities.

You will maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic clerical tasks, log stops in handheld devices, and ensure specimens are properly labeled. A valid Illinois driver's license is required; the position offers competitive hourly pay and essential health

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required (Illinois).
• Clean driving record preferred and required for on-time transport.

Responsibilities

• Use and maintenance of UnityPoint Health motor vehicles.
• Maintains an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Relays operation concerns or maintenance needs to Manager or Supervisor.
• Follows established routes and laws, keeping to the Rules of the Road.
• Drives up to 650 miles in urban and rural settings in all weather.
• Parks vehicle with fuel and cleans the vehicle daily and after shifts.
