Job Summary:

The Lab Courier is responsible for all deliveries and pickups of medical specimens, test results, images, etc., among the hospital, medical offices, laboratories, and other designated locations. The courier must maintain accurate trip logs and all related paperwork. The ideal candidate will be a reliable, safe driver who provides excellent customer service.

Essential Functions:
  • Delivers and picks up products from clinics and hospitals by traveling between facilities.
  • Establishes a scheduled route for delivery and pickup to ensure good customer relations.
  • Maintains a clean vehicle by removing trash and debris.
  • Completes daily vehicle and equipment checklists and reports any malfunctions.
  • Assists the department during periods of increased activity or staff shortages.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
  • High School Degree or GED.
Experience:
  • Previous courier experience.
  • Valid and maintained driving record.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to operate and maneuver all fleet vehicles.
  • Ability to read maps and follow verbal directions.
