Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a part-time courier to support MercyOne facilities by delivering laboratory specimens, mail and supplies. You will transport items between laboratories and customers, adhere to infection control policies, and log deliveries using courier software.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, and a valid driver's license. Prior courier experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Valid Driver's/Chauffeurs License required and must meet safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Transports laboratory specimens, mail and other materials and/or supplies utilizing excellent customer service skills.
• Follows established procedures and policies including infection control and bloodborne pathogens.
• Handles chemicals according to established safety protocols.
• Meets defined workload productivity standards. Supports and utilizes LEAN principles.
• Utilizes courier logistical software and devices to track packages and document route
• Ensures temperature dependent materials are transported at their required storage temperature.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicles and courier bags.
• Attends and participates in department huddles.
• Follows established policies and procedures to accurately track packages and obtain optimal transport time.
• Participates in teaching peers.
