Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago seeks a Lab Coordinator for the Radiologic Technologist program to enhance student knowledge, manage lab inventory, and assist faculty in meeting program needs.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

This position will be responsible forenhancing student knowledge and skills in the RadiologicTechnologist program. Ensures proper inventory of laboratorysupplies and maintenance of equipment and assists faculty infulfilling academic and program needs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinates lab environment and activities to supplementsubject lessons and techniques, and provides direction in thefacilitation and enhancement of students’ laboratory experiences.Ensures that students adhere to safety policies.
2. Demonstrates a variety of Health Science techniques, patientcare skills, laboratory procedures, and provides evaluation ofstudents’ performance.
3. Organizes and checks laboratory equipment and supply items toensure proper maintenance, function, and inventory levels. Reportsequipment failure to supervisor and prepares requisition slips asneeded.
4. Secures, sets-up, and maintains various instructional resourcesfor classroom and laboratory use.
5. Advises current and prospective students about the HealthScience program. Provides additional laboratory scheduling andassists students during open lab hours for review or practice oflaboratory related aspects.
6. Maintains student records and informs instructor of students’exam and laboratory grades for evaluative and remedialpurposes.
7. Participates in all program and departmental meetings.
8. Assists with group tours, recruitment efforts, and prospectivestudent interviews as necessary.
9. Provides input for annual funding requests from state and/orfederal agencies.
10. Adheres to CCC Customer Service Excellence standards.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Salary: $61,006.00 - $67,106.66

Offered salary will be determined by the respective collectivebargaining agreement and applicant's education, experience,knowledge, skills and abilities.

• Salary Range: $61,006.00 - $64,500.00
