Job summary

Alcanza Clinical Research, LLC is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator / Phlebotomist in Kansas City, MO. The role supports lab procedures for multiple phases and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.

You will draw and process specimens, monitor inventory, and assist with shipments while mentoring new hires and maintaining training requirements. Join a growing multi-site clinical research team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory processing experience.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draw and process specimens according to trial requirements.
• Assist with specimen shipments to central labs and observe proper shipping methods.
• Monitor expiration dates on lab equipment and supplies.
• Unpack and store incoming lab supplies; maintain inventory.
• Transport samples between locations as required.
• Mentor new hires and provide shadowing opportunities.
• Complete and renew CITI GCP and IATA training when needed.
• Attend SIVs and sponsor-required lab training as required.
• Support recruitment, EDC and QA/chart review as needed.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, FDA/HIPAA regulations and GCP.
