Job summary

Nycom, Inc. is a leading Laboratory Construction firm hiring a Safety Coordinator to improve workplace safety across its Mid-Atlantic and southeastern US projects, including lab furniture/equipment and custom woodwork environments.

The role requires assessing safety, enforcing standards, and educating employees, with duties spanning training sessions, risk assessments, compliance reviews, and documentation to support safe operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction industry terminology.
• Understanding of OSHA guidelines and local regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schedules.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to teach others the established safety standards.
• Experience with safety programs and risk assessments.
• Familiarity with safety equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Planning your health and safety program and protocols.
• Teaching supervisors, managers, and other leaders in the company about health and safety standards.
• Presenting safety training sessions to the company.
• Preparing and maintaining job specific safety paperwork.
