ProHealth Physicians, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a responsible Lab Clerk in Wallingford, CT. The role is 30 hours per week, with shifts Monday-Friday 4pm-10pm and a rotating Saturday, supporting Specimen Processing and data entry in a busy laboratory.

You will help ensure quality standards, resolve basic issues with specimens, and maintain accurate documentation while complying with safety policies. Benefits and a comprehensive package are included.

Prohealth Physician Laboratories in Wallingford, CT has an immediate opening for a responsible, hardworking and detail-oriented Lab Clerk to join our team. This position is 30 hours per week with the schedule for the role being Monday-Friday from 4pm-10pm with a rotating Saturday.

Primary Responsibilities

• All responsibilities of the Specimen Processing
• Exceeds productivity and quality standards set by ProHealth Physicians Laboratory
• Solves more complex problems on a routine basis
• Demonstrates a basic understanding of how Specimen Processing impacts the testing laboratory
• Identifies problems with specimen types, missing information etc. and assigns the appropriate TIQ, and in some cases resolve them
• Understands the complex relationship between test(s) ordered and received
• Completes all required written documentation, legibly and within the assigned time frame
• Meets quality and production standards within 6 months of completing training
• Learn additional functions within Specimen Processing to allow for timely progression to the next level
• Adheres to all ProHealth Physicians Laboratory policies and procedures, including safety and compliance
• Performs all other duties as assigned after 90 days training

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer knowledge

Data Entry Skills

• Previous related experience desirable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a team environment

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
