WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. seeks a dedicated lab support assistant to handle clerical duties, process physician orders, and communicate results to physicians’ offices. You will assist in workload tallying, transport specimens, and coordinate with satellite labs in a fast-paced hospital setting.
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and strong communication, data-entry, and confidentiality skills to support the laboratory team and ensure accurate reporting.
Performs clerical duties associated with and in support of laboratory testing, assists in workflow within the section, responds to inquiries and communicates results of laboratory testing, initiates appropriate charges, and assists in workload tallying of all sections, and performs certain clerical responsibilities in the blood bank. Sorts physician orders and manually transports to data entry. Procurement and processing of blood and body fluids of Laboratory testing
