Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field is required.
  • 2-3 years' lab experience and strong organizational skills.
  • Michigan pesticide applicator license (7E) required or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, prepare, and distribute materials and equipment for classroom labs.
  • Work with faculty to determine course needs and manage materials within budget.
  • Oversee daily lab operations and assist with safety and technical issues.
  • Regularly revise course manuals with manuals and equipment details.
  • Supervise one or more part-time student employees and mentor them.
  • Implement EHS regulations, PPE use, and hazardous waste handling.
  • Coordinate pest management for the Plant Growth Facility and perform audits.
