Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Fallon, NV is seeking a Lab Chemist for swing shift to perform routine analysis of samples and determine their chemical and physical properties.

Two shifts available: Day M-F 8am-4:30pm and Swing 1:30pm–10pm. Requires High School Diploma or GED; BS in Chemistry preferred; 3+ years lab experience preferred; valid driver’s license. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• BS in Chemistry or related science preferred.
• 3+ years of previous lab technician experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with utilizing computer software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Performs basic analysis of samples following prescribed procedures.
• Utilizes basic instrumentation.
• Completes all paperwork associated with the analysis in a neat and timely fashion.
• Ensures that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines.
• Performs cleaning and general housekeeping of work area.
