Amazon Leo is seeking a Lab and Build Engineer II for its battery design lab. The role focuses on setting up and maintaining equipment, preparing builds, and moving tests through the lab with minimal supervision.

You will manage a queue, drive process improvements, and mentor new teammates in a fast-paced environment. You will work on ultrasonic wirebonders, epoxy dispensing systems, fixtures, and robotic arms, ensuring consistent lab operations and clean, traceable results for cell and pack

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
• 2+ years in hardware development or hands-on engineering in space/aerospace or lab environments
• Experience with precision torque, measurement devices (calipers, micrometers, profilometers, meters) and inspection
• Experience managing lab resources, equipment, and supplies

Responsabilidades

• Take loosely defined requests from engineers, clarify needs, and own a concrete lab plan to completion
• Prioritize your own queue and keep several efforts moving with limited supervision
• Set up, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot build equipment (wirebonders, epoxy dispensers, fixturing, thermal chambers, robot arms)
• Prepare builds and work orders by kitting parts and staging materials; process tests end-to-end from cell prep to results
• Spot gaps in lab operations and drive 5S standards, documentation, and mentoring
