Christian Northeast Hospital with BJC has a great opportunity for an experienced Lab Associate to work in a floater position. You will work onsite throughout the Metro St. Louis area as a phlebotomist and growth in different lab settings.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs a variety of pre analytic, analytic and post analytic laboratory duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Performs waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKG's, etc.
  • Under supervision, reports test results as appropriate.
  • Sorts and processes routine and specific high level specimens received by the lab––including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.). Ensures correct processing and packaging for esoteric send out tests.
  • Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
  • Inventory management, equipment cleaning, maintenance, loading, etc.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience

  • 2–5 years

Supervisor Experience

  • No Experience

  • Associate's Degree

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
