Christian Hospital Northeast Campus, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking an experienced Lab Associate III to join our laboratory team onsite. This role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while building your laboratory and phlebotomy skills in a collaborative healthcare environment.

The role involves performing waived and moderate complex testing, reporting results under supervision, processing a variety of specimens, and coordinating tasks to meet turnaround times.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of laboratory experience.
• Phlebotomy experience required; BLS certification preferred.

Overview

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs a variety of pre analytic, analytic and post analytic laboratory duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKG's, etc.
• Under supervision, reports test results as appropriate.
• Sorts and processes routine and specific high level specimens received by the lab--including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.). Ensures correct processing and packaging for esoteric send out tests.
• Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
• Inventory management, equipment cleaning, maintenance, loading, etc.
