Job summary

Boone Health is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to perform non-blood and blood specimen collection, handling, and clerical duties related to specimen collection. Day shifts available, 28 hours per week, with weekend and holiday rotation required by department.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, correct patient identification, and maintaining specimen integrity while coordinating tasks to meet departmental turnaround times. Interacts with lab and clinical staff as needed.

Qualifications

Job Summary

Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.


• Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.


• Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.


• Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
