Job summary

Boone Hospital Center is seeking a Phlebotomist for the night shift to perform phlebotomy, specimen handling, and routine processing for a busy clinical laboratory. The role requires accurate patient identification and friendly interaction, coordinating tasks with the lab and other departments to meet turnaround times.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• No prior experience.
• No supervisor experience.
• Less than 2 years of experience preferred.
• Less than 2 years of supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy, patient identification, and interaction with patients to ensure proper specimen collection.
• Coordinate multiple tasks including STAT orders and workload fluctuations to meet turnaround times.
• Interact with the lab, clinical, and other ancillary departments.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Summary

Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection.

Job Responsibilities

Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity. Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times. Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments. Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience
• No Supervisor Experience

Preferred Qualifications
