Job summary

Boone Health in Arkansas is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join our team. The role performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, handles specimens, and supports clerical tasks related to specimen collection.

This position is 20 hours per week with a day shift from 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., requiring weekend and holiday rotation. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and no prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, patient identification, and specimen collection while ensuring specimen integrity.
• Coordinate multiple tasks withSTAT orders and workload fluctuations to meet schedule and turnaround times.
• Interact with lab, clinical, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.
• Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
• Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.
• Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
