Job summary

United Providers of Health is seeking a Lab Assistant to support screening procedures, data entry, specimen collection, and daily administrative tasks. The role involves greeting customers, handling insurance information, and providing professional service to patients and providers.

Responsibilities include maintaining medical records, reviewing temperature logs, and performing routine lab tasks. Knowledge of MS Office and CLIA-lab experience are preferred; HS Diploma is required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
• 6 months–2 years’ work experience in a CLIA-accredited clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Proper handling of medical records and test results.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Participate in routine laboratory tasks and other duties as assigned.
• Review and maintain the Temperature Logs for each site.
• Routine daily cleaning of instruments, seats and countertops.
• Shipping and receiving packages and samples.
• Data entry.
• Filing.
• Answering the phone.
• Other tasks as needed.
