Job summary

Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Pay Range: $17.75+ per hour. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate an ability to learn the job duties assigned to the Pre‑Analytical Assistant I and develop an understanding of how all the functions in Tech Ops and Specimen Processing work together.
• Identify problems with specimen types, missing information, sorting, racking, centrifuging, delivery, and storage; resolve or forward information to support timely problem resolution.
• Understand compliance policies related to test ordering and research test order information on translation tables, computer systems, and the directory of services.
• Meet quality and production standards within six months of completing training.
• Complete all required written documentation so that it is understandable, legible, and within the assigned time frame.
• Report to work on time and follow attendance guidelines; support department performance in the event of coworker absences.
• Learn additional functions within Tech Ops and Specimen Processing to allow progression to the next level.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred Work Experience

Previous experience in a production environment.

Knowledge

Medical background preferred, including medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory.
