Job Summary:

The Laboratory Department is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and performing clerical duties such as order entry, result lookup, and report generation. The position requires excellent customer service skills and adherence to safety procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Greeting patients and community members respectfully
• Collecting specimens according to established procedures
• Ensuring accurate patient identification for safety
• Labeling, processing, and storing specimens as per test requirements
• Performing clerical duties like inventory checks and answering phones
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Degree or GED
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred but not required
• One-year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required
• Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to produce accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
• Professional interaction with staff and patients
